Hotel Review || The Alexandra House

Last weekend I was lucky enough to have a weekend away with my best friend to the Alexandra house in Swindon.
I went with Robyn my only very true best friend and we had a fantastic time.

The Alexandra house in situated in the beautiful country side only 15 minutes away from Swindon town centre.

We arrived around four o clock on Friday to reception when we were greeted by the amazing Sandrine who was very friendly and was a lot of help. Our room was amazing, the set up was perfect and the mattress you could melt into.

On the first evening we stayed in and ate at the Tempus restaurant where we had some amazing food.

Starters.
I had ham hock and pea terrine, which was delicious, although I'm not sure what the cracker like bread was.
Robyn had a tomato and mozzarella dish, which I tried and it was pretty tasty apart from the bits.

Main course.
I had a penne pasta while Robyn had the steak pie.

(The reason my pasta looks such a mess is because one of the employees was so nervous and the plate was so hot he tipped it over the table)

Both of us were to stuffed to have dessert so we drank our wine and had an early night.

Breakfast was pretty good with a buffet of hot and cold food, cereals, pastries and fruit. Josh was very helpful.

We then spent four hours using the amazing gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool facilities. Before going out and taking a drive around Swindon town.

We got back to the hotel where we booked a taxi and got ready for a night out in Swindon, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We also met some really nice locals!

All in all it was a fantastic weekend and I came back fully re charged.
