The Winter Tag || Tagged by Levi Jade

Huge thank you to the lovely Levi Jade for nominating me for The Winter Tag.

1) What's your favourite seasonal drink from either Starbucks/Costa or your cafe of choice?
I'm not a Starbuck/Costa sort of person so I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon. In college we have an independent cafe that does the most amazing toasted marshmallow hot chocolate and flavoured steamers.

2) What accessories do you opt for? Scarf/boots/gloves?
I hate gloves so definitely not gloves. I do however love boots and I've recently bought a pair of over the knee boots.

3) What's your favourite tunes for this time of year?
I don't listen to much Christmas music until Christmas day drops I put on all the classics. Wham, Slade, the Shakin' Stevens.

4) What scent or perfume do you find yourself favouring this time of year?
I don't change perfumes often, however I'm in between Katy Perry - Killer Queen and Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck.

5) What candle's will you be burning this season?
I've grown quite a taste for Sweet Vanilla, Apple and Cinnamon just gives me a headache.

6) What is it you love most about winter?
I love not having to shave my legs, that's definitely the best thing.

7) Your favourite make up look for Winter?
Smoky eyes is a great look for Winter and one I'm wearing 24/7.

8) What are you most looking forward to this winter?
Christmas day! I'm looking forward to spending a lovely Christmas Day with my family and this year we're being joined by my aunt and her family.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
I TAG YOU!

What I Bought || The Family for Christmas

I wouldn't say these are the most creative gift ideas I've ever come up with but here's what I got.

Mum
What do you buy the woman who has everything? Well, I bought her a lovely little Soap & Glory gift set, the Miranda HAHA Hart (see what I did there?) Live Show DVD and Pjamas for Christmas Eve,
yes it's a huge tradition in our house!

Dad
And then what do you buy the man who has everything? Dads recently got a managerial job so I thought this mug was quite appropriate, plus I ALWAYS buy him a mug, every birthday and every Christmas. I also got him his favourite sweet snack Mr.Toms (He better share, there's ten) and a Christmas Jumper which I had to give him early because he needed one for work.

Sister
She wasn't happy without an advent calander and she loves Frozen so I picked this up for her in Home Bargains and this beautiful Soap & Glory make up set.

Shopping for parents is hard, what did you buy yours?

Reflecting on 2014

This year has flown by ridiculously quick, when people ask my age I'm still telling them I'm eighteen! This year was a full blown roller coaster full of great things, not so great things and things that would change me and my life forever.

At the beginning of the year I went through a break up, the sort of break up on lookers thought would hold me down for months, that would leave me emotionally damaged and in a state. However I dealt with it by hoping on a plane to America and doing something I've always wanted to do.

I left friends and family for the summer and began a personal journey of growth.

Two months of hard work, regular challenges and proper character building stuff that I couldn't have experienced anywhere else. I spent two and a half months at Camp which accounts for my whole Summer.

I rekindled my friendship with my best mate when we took a trip to Swindon, where we made some new friends.

When I got back from America in late August I decided to take my blog more seriously as a way to document my life and to share a part of myself with the online community. A South Wales Blog became a serious thing and in October it hit 100 bloglovin followers!

I also started taking college alot more seriously, making sure my attendance was better, that I handed in work on time and that I actually knew what I was doing! This has so far been a success and I'm enjoying getting mock exams and homework papers marked. I made some great friends.

In September I spent some time with mum and did my first Outfit of the Day post, and my second!

In October I turned nineteen and attended my first bloggers meet up, #CDFBloggersTea.

November saw Charlotte and I starring in the Christmas advert for e.l.f.

I also went to watch The Lion King with family and we had a fantastic time.

And now? I've already started applying for Camp America 2015!

These were some of my most important events of 2014,
I can't wait to see what 2015 holds for me.

The Christmas Tag || Tagged by Kerry Elizabeth

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?
I haven't really got one but I've seen Miracle on 34 street loads of times.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
We used to get up at 5:30am Christmas Day to open our presents but every year it gets later and later, this year we'll either be opening our presents at 5:30am (before mum goes to work) or 10pm when we return from Christmas dinner.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
When mum surprised us all and bought a Wii for us, no one expected it and we couldn't believe it when we unwrapped it! I loved our Wii.

4. Favourite festive food?
PIGS IN BLANKETS, NOM NOM NOM, OMG.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
I love little things in stockings for example, Terry's Chocolate orange!

Sweet vanilla is the sent that's spread around my room this winter.

Everyone has new pjamas Christmas Eve right? That's my favourite tradition.

8. What tops your tree?
We have an angel, a star and a santa but I don't think anything is topping our tree this year!

Baker Days || The Post Box Cake*

I'm not a huge fan of cake and neither are my parents however my sister is a cake fanatic and a proper
little baker and therefore when Baker Days offered me the chance to review a 'post box cake' I was intrigued. So when the cake arrived (around three days later) I gathered the family and we tried it
together.

It's beautifully decorated and can be personalised for you, there are also lots of designs to choose from, I opted for the Reindeer Sponge. No one in my family is a huge icing fan and to be honest we find too much icing quite sickly but what really showed the difference between a supermarket cake and this cake is the icing, it's not as sweet and sickly as usual icing and there's only a thin layer, the sponge is also different from supermarket cakes because it tastes beautiful, very similar to the home made cakes my sister likes to make. It really is a tasty little cake and CAN fit through your letter box like it did ours. This cake would cost you £15.99 with free delivery which is a fantastic deal and the fact you can send this to any family or friends in the UK for any occasion is a great idea.

Baker Days sent me the cake, all views are my own*

What do you think of this nifty little cake?
Would you give it as a gift?

Box Swap || Christmas with Carla

When Carla got in contact with me for a Christmas box swap I was so eager to get involved. I've been speaking with Carla through social media for awhile and I thought it would be exciting to see what we could come up with! The budget we decided on was £15 not including P&P!

This is what Carla came up with.

If you follow me on twitter then you've seen that I'm a massive fan of PROPERCORN. I can already tell Carla's been stalking my tweets!

I am a total chocaholic and I'm always up for trying new types of chocolate, I also recently visited Winter Wonderland so here's a chocolate bar called Winter Wonderland, what could be ready?

I love Carla's business cards! They're so cute and I even tried the QR Code and it worked to my amazement!

Tea and cats, my two favourite things. She's definitely onto a winner!

It's Winter, this is an essential right? I love this!

I love all my bits and pieces! She could literally be my best friend, it's like she really knows me. I had so much fun doing this Christmas blog swap.

** You can see what I bought Carla here**

Have you done a Christmas box swap?

Gift Idea || PickStick*

How cute are these little fridge magnets? They're all photos I took on my phone, how did I get them and make them into fridge magnets? PicStick.

PicStick is this handy little website that can convert your photos from anywhere into fridge magnets.
Most of you who read my blog on a regular basis will already know I'm a crazy cat lady but what some of you may not know is on the day I returned from America this Summer 2014 my dog, Murphy died...a couple of hours before I got home. It was a total shock to us all as he had no illness, he was a fit and healthy dog who suffered a heart attack. Since he died the room he lived in (his own living room) has been redecorated and the furniture has been removed. I wanted a way for us to remember him and this seemed like a good idea.

So I got a few photos of Murphy and a few of Amber done and put them on the fridge. Dad saw them first and thought it was a fantastic idea, he was really impressed. Mum got a bit emotional but was also really happy we had something we could look at and remember. These have been a total success in my house and with my family. A great way to remember past furry friends and current furry friends. These would make a lovely gifts to another animal lover.

What do you think? Fancy sticking some furry friends on your fridge?

PicStick was kind enough to send me a code for free so I could show you their products.*

Beauty || The Base

My skin is far from perfect, it's full of freckles, red areas and as of late pots too but thanks to my very reliable base my skin looks clear and glowing. My skin type is normal.

e.l.f primer £6.95
I love this primer because it absorbs quickly, doesn't appear oily on your skin
under foundation and feels so soft when applying.

e.l.f HD mattifying cream foundation, porcelain
I love how quick and easy I can apply this foundation without being to potchy or precise.
I wouldn't recommend this foundation for dry skin however because I think it could appear cakey.

e.l.f tone correcting palette including blonde, blue, green, pink.
I use this as a setting powder to cover up any other skin blemishes that's not covered by foundation. I avoid my nose, it tickles and I end up rubbing it all day, it then looks like I snort drugs.

Revolution vivid baked bronzer
I'm pretty pale anyway, so I stay away from blush and use bronzer
on my cheek bones and forehead instead for a touch of colour.

This is my everyday base for college or quick trips out, for a longer lasting base I'd add the elf highlighting stick and collection 200 concealer.

What do you think? Do you use any of these products yourself?
