Beauty || Eyebrow waxing

Not so long ago a friend persuaded me to try eyebrow waxing. My eyebrows used to be crazy thick, like werewolf thick, plucking was far too long, tedious and painful so I decided to give it a go. Now I'm a baby when it comes to pain, my pain threshold is very low so eyebrow waxing isn't my favourite regular activity.

I could never wax my legs but I do recommend having your eyebrows waxed because it's done quickly, by someone professional and the chances are if you've chosen the right beautician then you'll be happy with the outcome. For me the worst part is thinking about her pulling it off which causes me to jump, my advice is relax, try and think about something else. I always close my eyes.

My skin isn't a fan of eyebrow waxing either and flares up quite a bit for quite awhile, but Gem puts a soothing lotion on to stop the stinging. I only late one person wax my eyebrows, the same one I've had from the start.

I don't like my eyebrows too thin so these are the perfect shape and thickness for me.

Do you pluck or wax your eyebrows?

  1. I tend to get mine waxed because plucking is just so much effort and my brows are a tad crazy. I have the same problem though and my skin goes a beautiful shade of red after. I also jump but weirdly when she puts the soothing lotion on at the end.

  2. The redness afterward looks painful, but the end result is worth it! Well, easy for me to say since I don't have to feel the pain though huh? ;)
