The Colour Festival Cardiff || My Experience

Sourz kindly got in touch with me a little while ago asking if I'd like to attend The Colour Festival. I got two Gold wristbands to the Cardiff leg of the journey on June the 6th.
I took my lovely friend Rhian with me! Arrival time was at 2pm but we didn't manage to arrive until 4pm due to my incapability to be on time for anything that's more than 10 minutes away from my house.

We arrived to the warehouse where we were given our wristbands. It was semi full when we arrived. I was really confused when we arrived as there we token booths, make shift bars, a food court, a vip area and a stage. Banji Wild was already on stage when we got there and he pretty much stayed there for most of the evening until the headline acts performed however he was still to be found in front of the stage dancing and having a good time.
I've never been a raver myself, I've never listened to that type of music either but I really got into after the first hour. I was headbanging, fist pumping and crazy dancing.

I didn't drink because I was driving and I'm glad because the line for the bar was huge! The food court harboured lots of great hot food and soft drinks so I was a very happy chappy! As our wristbands were VIP we got access to the VIP area which had luxury cocktails, seating and blankets.

After we did a full sweep of the area to find out what's what, we found a path to the front of the audience. We were just in time for Diciples, Alex Adair, The Golden Boy and High Contrast. We left around 11ish because I was exhausted by this point and we stopped by McDonalds on the way home for 20 chicken nuggets to share between us.

What festivals will you be attending this summer?

  8. Sounds like fun! I never went to a color festival. We have something here where I live called the color walk. You walk on a long road and there's a few stops with the bags of colors where you're allowed to throw it on people.
hahaha, I never joined. I should someday :P
